Love Better Campaign

The Love Better Campaign is a way for anyone — Mama Bear or not — to turn something they enjoy, a talent they have, or an idea of their own into support for the LGBTQ+ community.
 

The Mama Bears Giving Circle brings people together to pool their donations and provide grants to organizations doing important work for the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we've awarded more than $500,000 in grants to organizations that serve and support LGBTQ+ people and families.
 

And you don't have to write a big check to make an impact.

You can use your creativity, your talents, your connections, or simply something you enjoy doing to raise a little money — and when it's combined with what others give, it can become something much bigger.
 

Here are a few ideas:
 

• Have a garage or yard sale and donate the proceeds.

• If you're crafty, make something to sell and donate all or part of the proceeds.

• Have a bake sale or take orders for your favorite homemade treats.

• Ask friends to donate for your birthday instead of giving you gifts.

• Host a brunch, dinner, game night, trivia night, or other gathering and collect donations.

• Ask a local business to host a give-back day and donate a percentage of sales.

• Donate an item, experience, service, gift card, or handmade creation to our annual winter silent auction.

• Ask businesses you know to contribute items or experiences to our silent auction.

• Ask businesses you know to make a direct contribution to the Mama Bears Giving Circle.

• Come up with your own idea! Some of the best fundraisers start with people simply asking, “What do I already love doing, and how could I use it to do some good?”
   

Once your fundraiser is complete, proceeds can be donated directly to the Mama Bears Giving Circle through our official donation page.
 

And when you Love Better, we want to celebrate it! 
 

If you decide to hold a fundraiser for the Mama Bears Giving Circle, we'd love to hear about it.
 

Send us a photo and tell us a little about what you did. With permission we will be highlighting some of the creative ways people are participating in the Love Better Campaign and helping support the LGBTQ+ community.
 

Because you don't have to be a Mama Bear to Love Better.
 

You just have to care enough to find your own way to show up.
